Short past rest

A poet with no voice

Sadness sings as the winds blow
My garden is covered in snow
The tree of life is naked and exposed
All the doors to survival seem closed

It won't help to call, to invite or lure
Nobody would dare to come around
'Cause everybody has to endure
Try to get through this safe and sound

This is not the end, it's a new beginning
It's time to land, the wheel should stop spinning
Go to a shelter, do your best so you last
Forget your welter, you should now rest

Times when no one answers to your yell
Test how hardened has become your shell
In the dark and cold you feel alone
It's a life to live on your own
Will this loneliness ever go away?
You may ask while you face the fear
Calm down, you've got no price to pay
Try to live today, try to live here

Who am I when no one's here to watch?
What to do when there's no one to please?
With no more hands given to me to wash
What could be the purpose of all of this?

The silence now sounds too loud to me
Its noise is driving me insane
It's just too meaningless for a tree
To exist with no good reason to remain

This is not the end, it's a new beginning
It's time to land, the wheel should stop spinning
You don't need anyone else for you to live for
You're lost, for you never experienced this before

Times when no one answers to your yell
Test how hardened has become your shell
In the dark and cold you feel alone
It's a life to live on your own
Will this loneliness ever go away?
You may ask while you face the fear
Calm down, you've got no price to pay
Try to live today, try to live here

A tree without fruits
Shall be neglected
If it has no use
It won't be protected

What's the reason for it to exist?
I know we all have a mission
All I've been doing is to insist
Keeping my eyes open with a blurred vision

Can I help myself living today?
Even with no good reason to stay
Loneliness slowly tears me apart
With a pain that won't depart

It's a mistake you commit, trying to stay awake
Watching the snow while the time slowly slips away
To rest does not mean to be just standing still
But to make your soul dormant and regain your will

Times when no one answers to your yell
Test how hardened has become your shell
In the dark and cold you feel alone
It's a life to live on your own
Will this loneliness ever go away?
You may ask while you face the fear
Calm down, you've got no price to pay
Try to live today, try to live here

Times when no one answers to your yell
Test how hardened has become your shell
In the dark and cold you feel alone
It's a life to live on your own
Will this loneliness ever go away?
You may ask while you face the fear
Calm down, you've got no price to pay
Try to live today, try to live here
