A Song and a Pint
Poundin' hooves on the cobblestone, bells ringin' for a king
But to me, it's just a noise, a bitter, broken thing
I'm never gonna make it, I bleed it on the scroll
Drownin' out the misery with ale that's lost its soul
The guilds are laughin' through the walls, piercin' through my skin
Too damn scared to open up the door and let life in
Lookin' in the greasy glass at a face I fucking hate
Snap my thumb and spit at him, cursed by my own fate
The gods are cruel, the wind is wrong, any lie will do

The candle dies, the silence screams
